CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER!!!

Congrats to my big brother and my new sister-in-law on their marriage! The wedding was on the weekend and it was BEAUTIFUL. Some of the best parts were the weather, the location, the simple ceremony, the food, the music, the guests, the speeches, the... Okay, so everything was perfect. That's all I can say: perfect wedding.

It was at the Cambridge Mill, a gorgeous location. The ceremony was in a little park across the street, overlooking the river, and all cobblestoned with tall trees. It was a sunny, breezy day. The ceremony itself was fairly short and more-or-less secular, and I got to do a short reading. I read "To Love is Not to Possess" by James Kavanaugh (read it on this page). Then there were pictures taken, and cocktails served... Dinner with speeches in-between the courses, then dancing... It was incredible.

For food, the dinner had an appetizer, a choice of 1 of 3 entrees (or something special for those like me with dietary restrictions), and a dessert. Then cupcakes. Then a chocolate fountain. Then a midnight snack platter... Holy sugar-hangover, Batman!

What an unbelievable weekend. I can't wait to see the professional photos! And in the meantime, there have been 2 new engagement announcements (both from cousins). Looking forward to an awful lot of special occasions! Phewf!
